Wood Finish at Rutland Water

Wood finish points the way forward

Project Overview:

A complete replacement and upgrade of the wayfinding, welcome and information signage for the 6 Anglian Water reservoirs in the midland region.

Benefits:

This project shows the range of materials and shapes to which PWF can be applied.
PWF was chosen as it is relatively maintenance-free.
Does not rot, warp or bleach. Over a wide area of land PWF can work on a “fit and forget” basis.
Complex shapes can be produced in metal with the look of wood.

Finish:

PWF onto aluminium and galvanized steel.
The finish was formulated made to match the vinyl lettering panels and the client colour scheme.

Project Details:

An identical finish was needed for 3 types of sign and material.
Zinc plated steel for the information signs, top image.
Large folded aluminium “tray” totem entrance signs, middle image.
Extruded aluminium posts and planks fabricated into wayfinding signs, bottom image.
