Project Overview:
Completed in 2014 Northwich Memorial Court is a £12.5 million leisure and entertainment centre, situated in Northwich town centre. The design concept was a key part of the building, reflecting both Northwich's heritage and the town's future vision.
The aluminium rain screen cladding makes a visually exciting and bold statement. The panels are set at angles on the building, with varying projection distances creating an impressive effect. The design specification demanded powder coating with a 25-year guarantee to maintain the stunning appearance.
Solution:
Colour selection and consistency was important and Powdertech supplied several samples for approval, before the client selected an Axalta powder, RAL 6034, 30% gloss level.
Coordinating the coating and delivery of different batches of panels, 5000sq metres in total, was also a key part of the job and Powdertech Corby has many years of experience in projects of this nature. High quality power coating ensured that although many batches of panels of varying sizes were coated and delivered, colour consistency between batches was maintained throughout.
