This month’s news is about the recent successful independent testing of our range of wood finishes. It’s satisfying to have the ongoing assurance that our process that was developed 20-years ago still meets the requirement of international powder coating standards.
We have produced a PWF vs Wood Data Sheet which you can find in our data sheets section of the web site and, although it is pretty comprehensive, I have found a new fact that the acid in wood can rot the fixings – rather worrying.
On the positive side wood needs maintenance between every 2 and 5 years with a high-quality preservative which can cost up to £20 per m2. PWF just needs a wash and it's as good as new. In a 25-year period you could spend £250 per m2 maintaining wood or the price of a hose pipe and water cleaning PWF.
