2019 will be an interesting and challenging year for UK Limited, so hopefully my three tips will help to make things a little easier.
Write clear and tight specifications. These don’t need to be “war and peace” - at the most basic level we only need to know the colour, gloss level and location and then we can produce the specification for you. If you want to include a specification on your drawing then referring to EN ISO 12206 or EN ISO 13438 for powder coating, on aluminium or galvanized steel respectively, will cover process specifications and inspection standards.
Try Building Information Modelling (BIM). Designers and architects are using embedded objects in electronic design to not only improve and speed up design but also to produce a project specific “maintenance manual”.
